Angel Cat: the Inspiration
My cat Libby was on my mind a lot as I was learning my way around my new design software. And as this sort of vaguely feline form began to take shape on the screen, I reached for her cutest, most adorable pose to recreate in this design.
Like most cats, Libby is never more cuddly than when she’s just awakened from a not-fun dream encounter. She looks so adorably pitiable! Her fur is ruffled and her whiskers are in disarray. She trots over to me with a pitiable mew, and there’s a sweet, vulnerable look in her eyes that she never shows, even at feeding times.
(Okay, especially not at feeding times… 😼)
Anyway, it’s a great opportunity to cradle her in my arms for a few precious minutes, and gently stroke her soft, pale belly fur while she purrs like a jet engine. These moments are among the most satisfying for cat lovers. In fact, they almost make up for the scratch marks, the fur all over everything, and the horrid things she says in those last few minutes before her full food dish hits the floor.
Hey, everybody gets a little hangry sometimes. 🙂
